GODSENT have booked their spot in the DreamHack Open Tours playoffs, topping Group A with a 16-8 victory over Gambit on Train.
Starting out as Counter-Terrorists, GODSENT bagged a 2-0 lead after winning a near-flawless pistol. After building up their economy, however, Denis "seized" Kostin's men went on to the driving seat, stringing four rounds together without much response from their opponents.
GODSENT were seemingly set to win their third round in the seventh, but Mihail "Dosia" Stolyarov pulled off a 1v3 clutch. The Swedes would do that in the next round, and after following it up with another, Gambit called for a tactical pause.
Still, Ludvig "Brollan" Brolin and his teammates were longing for the lead, losing only one more round until half-time, with the 15-year-old denying Rustem "mou" Telepov's 1v2 in the 15th round.
In the second half, GODSENT won their second pistol, which Hampus "hampus" Poser and Simon "twist" Eliasson followed up with back-to-back aces in the anti-ecos. Gambit responded with a successful gun round, but it was all in vain as the Swedish team kept their composure to finish things off, 16-8.
